Club Constitution & Rules
1. Purpose and Structure
Funds are reinvested into achieving the syndicate’s aims, including promoting ethical and sustainable shooting practices.
2. Membership Requirements
Experienced members must hold valid licenses and certificates, as required by UK law, to engage in any form of shooting.
Beginners must apply for FAC within 28 days of joining (supplied in-house) and will undergo a mentoring program and will undergo DSC1/2 or PDSA as part of membership progression.
Members must maintain an appropriate hunting insurance, such as with BASC or an equivalent, as proof of coverage.
All members must comply with the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 and other applicable UK laws governing shooting and wildlife protection.
3. Shooting Rules
Shooting activities include driven, walked-up shooting, rough shooting and deer stalking, and must comply with seasonal restrictions and relevant legislation.
Members must provide at least 48 hours’ notice before accessing any land leased or owned by the syndicate.
Guests must be pre-approved by the syndicate, full details must be disclosed including FAC and insurance. Guests without their own FAC, can attend under the supervision of a fully licensed syndicate member. The syndicate member must ensure their guest complies with all rules. A guest will pay a fee of £125 per day. A maximum of 2 guests is allowed annually.
4. Behaviour and Conduct
Members must act responsibly and respectfully, representing the syndicate in a positive manner.
Any misconduct, including unsafe firearm handling, trespassing, or breaching syndicate rules, may result in disciplinary action or suspension.
Members must respect land boundaries, obtain permission to retrieve game from neighbouring properties, and follow all land-use agreements.
5. Dogs
Dogs must be kept under control at all times and must not cause a nuisance, trespass, or harm livestock.
6. Gates & Parking
Gates must be left as you find them.
Vehicles must be parked in the areas designated on the maps.
7. Membership Identification
Members must only access land when pre approved by the booking system and carry and proof of ID (e.g., firearms certificate) while engaged in syndicate activities.
Identification and permission must be presented upon request by syndicate officers, police, landowners, or other authorised persons.
8. Company Powers
The syndicate reserves the right to manage memberships, enforce rules, and review disciplinary cases.
Members have the right to appeal decisions, with the opportunity to present their case to the company.
Membership Terms
1. Fees and Payments
Membership fees can be paid annually or £250 joining fee with monthly payments thereafter. Membership renewals will be automatic unless cancelled in writing before the end of the membership term.
By joining or renewing with the syndicate, members agree to a full 12-month membership term, including payment of the full annual fee.
Late payments exceeding 7 days may result in termination of membership.
Members must give a months notice to terminate their annual subscription
2. Refunds
Refunds are at the companies discretion and may incur a 15% administration fee. Processing may take up to 3 months.
Refunds will not be issued once a member has participated in any syndicate activity or accessed syndicate land, or after 14 days.
3. Disputes and Complaints
Members should notify the company of any grievances or disputes by email to team@shootingsh.com. The company will investigate and respond within a reasonable timeframe.
Members are expected to communicate respectfully. Public defamatory comments against the syndicate may lead to membership review.
Communications on the WhatsApp forum are monitored. Members are expected to be politically correct. Any defamatory or disrespectful comments may lead to immediate suspension.
4. Membership Obligations
Members are encouraged to contribute to syndicate activities, such as wardening duties or work parties, when requested by the Syndicate.
Members must report any breaches of rules or safety incidents immediately.
5. Land Access and Restrictions
Members must not engage with landowners to negotiate independent shooting agreements that could compromise syndicate rights. This may lead to legal action being taken.
Members must adhere to all land-use agreements, leases, and conditions set by landowners.
Shooting and Safety Guidelines
1. Firearms and Ammunition
Members must use appropriate firearms and ammunition in compliance with UK laws and syndicate rules.
Unsafe firearm handling may result in disciplinary action, and members may be required to provide an explanation of incidents. THINK FIRST. Ensure a good backdrop, do not use thermal scopes in the vicinity of public rights of way.
2. Seasonal Compliance
Shooting activities must align with the UK’s statutory shooting seasons and conservation regulations.
3. Prohibited Activities
Selling or trading shot game or wildfowl is strictly prohibited, without written permission.
Any activity that damages the syndicate’s reputation or legal standing may result in a membership review.
Termination of Membership
1. Disciplinary Termination
The company may review or revoke membership for breaches of rules, misconduct, or failure to comply with syndicate policies.
2. Return of Property
Upon termination, all syndicate property (e.g., keys, equipment) must be returned within 7 days. Failure to do so may affect future membership eligibility.
General Rules
- Members are responsible for ensuring that all activities comply with UK laws, including wildlife protection, firearms usage, and public safety regulations.
- Shooting SH LTD reserves the right to update rules and policies, with changes communicated in writing.
- Any matters not explicitly covered in these terms will be decided at the companies discretion
